Research and Development Director
Our client, a leading specialty vehicle manufacturer, is looking for a Director of Research & Development with experience in new product development and launch. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus background and good communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong ability to conceptualize, plan, and manage tasks. Research, develop, design, and test mechanical parts, components, and assemblies needed for prototypes and final products. Assist in developing and implementing design procedures.
Focus on developing and implementing cost-saving ideas.
BSME required, Master's Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering is a plus. Minimum of 5 years' experience working in product design, heavy machinery manufacturing preferred. Firm understanding of CAD Software, including 3-D Modeling.
Ability to listen and learn from all levels of an organization. Equipped with a strong customer focus and good communication skills. Demonstrated analytic and empirical problem solving skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Assist in developing and implementing design procedures. Ability to perform / evaluate Finite Element Analysis. Familiar with FMEA processes. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
