Mechanical Engineer Direct Hire $50K-$80KOur client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who is experienced with Unigraphics and has the ability to see projects from conception all the way through to product launch.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will be working alongside the Product Engineering / Design group while interfacing with Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing and Suppliers to our industry.
The position will provide opportunities for product design starting with the concept development phase, prototype development, following through product validation, to final product implementation including production lifecycle support.
Qualified candidates should possess a mechanical engineering degree, but, it is not mandatory, have knowledge of the basic principles of static engineering and structural mechanics of material courses.
Candidate must work well as a member of a team and adapt well to a changing environment.
Working knowledge of 3-D CAD modeling software.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Tools Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint, etc Demonstrated analytic and empirical problem solving skills.
Must be able to interface with Team Members Sales, Production Personnel, Suppliers, etc on projects as required Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with our customers, cross functional teams, as well as the entire organization.
Research, develop, design, and test mechanical parts, components, and assemblies needed for prototypes and final products.
Assist in all functions required to generate Bills of Materials and process ECR s /ECN s for product requirements.
Focus on developing and implementing cost saving ideas including research, selection and validation of outsourced products.
Support manufacturing floor through lean manufacturing events Assist in warranty analysis to improve existing products by analyzing and finding root cause, and designing solutions to address field issues.
